About the site
Highland Hangout is set on the west coast of the Highlands, five minutes from the coast and only 45 minutes to the Isle of Skye - great for couples and families wanting to explore the raw beauty this part of Scotland has to offer. The Fuselage pod has a unique design inspired by aerospace and has been built using sustainably sourced wood and recycled aluminium. The pod is well insulated to keep the elements out, plus there is a wood-burning stove to ensure a cosy stay. Upon arrival, you'll find a table with two bench seats plus sofa seating and a window at the end for admiring the surrounding countryside views. There is a guest book with instructions on how to convert the seating into your beds. The table and bench seating turns into a double bed whilst the sofa seating turns into two individual bunk beds for little ones. Do note that the upper bunk has a weight limit of 60kg. Separate from the Fuselage pod is The Cuil na Sith, a private garden room with large, double glazed windows, a small fridge, kettle, air fryer and microwave plus basic cutlery and crockery for basic meals. Enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple as you admire the views towards the Cuillin range or watch your neighbours - the deer and birdlife! You will also have access to your own private bathroom located in the shared facilities block. Your bathroom will have a loo, a wash basin, a hot shower, a heated towel rail and a hot air hand dryer. You will also be provided with complimentary organic Highland Soap Co. products including body wash and shampoo. Towels and bed liners are provided for each guest along with a single duvet and pillow, please specify your preference for goose down or eco friendly micro fibre pillow filling when booking. You will just need to bring provisions. There is also a tree tent onsite, set in the treetops, in a separate area of the site.

Eco friendly, sustainable glamping pod that is set up for arrival with a table with two bench seats, a separate seating area, mains electricity and a wood burning stove. Instructions included to convert the table into a double bed and the seating area into twin bunk beds with a 60kg limit on the upper bunk. Separate bathroom with a sink, loo and hot shower with complimentary toiletries, heated towel rail and hand drier. Private garden room nearby with seating, fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Bedding and towels provided. Sorry, no dogs.
