Hillside Caravan Park offers family-friendly glamping pods on a nice-acre, award-winning park just outside the North York Moors National Park. It is ideal for walkers, with miles of scenic countryside trails within easy reach, a large play area, and a coffee lounge. All pods are furnished and have ensuites. Choose between one of the Mega Pods for up to four or one of the Deluxe Mega Pods for a bit more luxe and can sleep up to five.

About the site

Set just outside the village of Knayton, this park has over 50 touring pitches and six glamping pods onsite. With views of the Hambleton Hills and an onsite lake, this site offers a peaceful setting for outdoor adventures, you'll also be just outside the North York Moors National Park. Choose between the Mega Pods, great for a simple base for your trip with dog friendly options, or the Deluxe Mega Pods, which are a bit more luxe. All pods have an open plan interior with a double bed towards the back of the pod and a double sofa bed towards the entrance. The Deluxe Mega Pods also has a single bunk bed above the double and all bedding is provided. If you are staying in one of the Mega Pods you can hire bedding from the site or bring your own. You will also have a kitchenette, which in the Mega Pods is a bit more simple and features a sink, microwave, fridge and kettle, you can also hire cutlery/crockery from the site or bring your own. In the Deluxe Mega Pods, the kitchenette also features a Belfast sink and induction hob. All of your cutlery, crockery, utensils, pans and washing items are provided for you, so you will just need to bring the food shopping in. The Mega Pods feature an extendable dining table with two foldable chairs whilst the Deluxe pods have a proper table and chairs inside. Opposite the sofa bed in each pod is a TV mounted on the wall, perfect for relaxing in your pod in the evenings after long walks and days exploring. All pods feature an ensuite bathroom which features a toilet, basin and shower. There are accessible wet rooms in the shared campsite facility block close by. If you're staying in the Mega Pods you will need to either bring your own towels or hire them from the site. In the Deluxe pods towels are provided and the bathroom also features a heated towel rail. The pods are all fitted with electric so you can use all of your appliances and charge your devices if you wish. The Mega Pods also have electric heating so you can stay warm no matter what the weather is like, the deluxe pods have underfloor heating and a Velux window. WiFi is available in all of the pods, just in the Mega Pods you will need to pay a daily rate whereas the Deluxe Pods have WiFi included. Outside your pod is a raised decking with a picnic table and you are welcome to hire a BBQ or bring your own as long as it is raised off the ground. The Mega Pods (pet friendly) is the only glamping accommodation to allow pets. You will have access to the coffee lounge onsite and the little ones can play on the field with football posts and a play tractor. There is a designated car park for all vehicles and there is an electric vehicle charging point if you have an electric vehicle. If you are celebrating whilst you are away the site offers fairy lights and bunting or celebration and special occasion packages which you can add to your booking.
