About the site

This site is an idyllic base for the Yorkshire Dales with countryside trails on your doorstep, a quintessential village a 20 minute walk away with pubs and a village shop and Ingleborough Caves within easy reach. Family-run and set on a working farm you can expect traditional camping vibes with added facilities to make your stay more comfortable. There are eight camping pods set on a hardstanding area around the edge of one of the grass camping fields. The pods have been kept simple to provide guests with an elevated camping experience, perfect for those who want to experience the thrills of camping but like to sleep under a solid roof. The pods are heated and well-insulated so you'll stay cosy even in winter, there is also an interior light and blinds to keep the morning sunshine out. There is space inside to accommodate up to four guests, you will need to bring air beds or camping mats for all of your guests plus all bedding, bed linen and pillows. Outside there is space for parking plus a small decking area for you to set up your camp chairs. If you fancy cooking your meals, the site allows disposable BBQs to be used just as long as they are raised from the ground and they have bricks available to help you do this. There are also fire pits available to borrow on a first come first served basis. If you fancy doing any other cooking you will need to bring the camping stove and kettle with you as well as all crockery, cutlery, utensils and anything else you may need. Facilities are a short walk away by the reception, shop and car park. These are shared with the camping and touring guests also staying onsite. Here there are male and female toilets and showers, a pot washing area and a freezer for ice pack freezing. Do note that showers are 50p per ten minutes of use but you can buy coins from reception if you don't have any. The shop is small but sells your camping basics in case you've forgotten anything, the site also offers a takeaway pizza service on Saturdays May through to September. This can be pre-booked up to seven days in advance for collection between 5pm and 8pm, slots are on a first come first served basis. Your four-legged friends are welcome to join you for your stay, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, however there is a dog walk along the river to help them stretch their legs and next to this there is a dog run where they can be let off lead.
