About the site

An ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the views. This small glamping site sits 20 minutes outside of Carlisle, 15 minutes from the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and 30 minutes from the Lake District. The pods are aptly named after the Pennine Fells that you can see from the site. Melmerby and Croglin both sleep up to four with a double bed and double sofa bed, whilst Cross Fell sleeps up to five with a bunk bed, double sofa bed and fold out chair bed. King size bedding is included in the cost of your stay. Any additional bedding can be added as an extra to your booking or you will need to bring it with you. A kitchenette area includes a Belfast sink, induction hob, fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and toaster. All of your essential cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment will be provided too. There is also a table and two chairs for dining or enjoying a board game. Inside each of the pods, there is also a private ensuite bathroom. You will have a modern shower cubicle, flushing toilet and hand basin. Towels for two people are included, but any extra guests will need to bring their own. For making the most of your scenic views, there is an outdoor area with seating and a fire pit/BBQ. An outdoor storage box also provides somewhere to house your muddy boots and outdoor seat cushions. Onsite you will also find a communal camp kitchen with a lounge/dining area too. Here you will find a full cooker, a cosy seating area, games, maps and local information. There is also a wood-fired pizza oven, communal fire pit, hammock hangout area, bike storage and a sauna (for an extra cost). Both Cross Fell and Croglin are also dog friendly. Up to two pups can join you for your stay and there are plenty of great walking routes nearby. Onsite you will also find the Henrietta Train Carriage, a unique glamping carriage that will have access to the shared facilities too.
