About the site


Escape to the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a stay in a cosy glamping pod in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Enjoy scenic walks and bike rides directly from the site or spend an afternoon fishing in the well stocked lake. There are four glamping pods onsite, one small pod (Wren) and three larger pods (Kingfisher, Woodpecker and Robin). The small pod sleeps two with a double sofa bed, and the larger pods sleep four with a double bed and double sofa bed. Bedding is provided too. Each pod is heated and has a dining area as well as a fully equipped kitchenette with a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge/freezer. The larger pods also feature an ensuite toilet with a hand basin. Shared toilets and showers are just a short walk away for convenience. There is also WiFi to help you stay connected throughout your stay. Outside, you will find a decking area with outdoor furniture and a fire pit and BBQ area, perfect for an evening of al fresco dining. Spend a day exploring the charming medieval village of Lavenham which is just 15 minutes away. Or, the popular market town of Bury St Edmunds is a 25 minute drive away where you can visit the beautiful abbey. Please note, dogs are welcome in all the pods except from Robin which is pet free.

There is a well-kept site toilet and shower facility on site, including a disabled toilet and wet room. A shared kitchen area is also provided. Fire pits are supplied on request and guests can either purchase logs on site or bring their own.

The site includes a lake well stocked with rudd, carp and roach.

A 20 minute walk takes you to the village of Rattlesden with its shop and two pubs, including one which serves food. Fresh farm beef for the BBQ is available at a farm shop within a five minute walk.

Guests are welcome to check-in from 2pm until 9pm. Check out is by 11am on your final day.

The nearest train station is Elmswell which is a 15 minute drive away. Shelter is the nearest bus stop which is a five minute drive away, on Drinkstore Road.

Be sure to bring along your own bath towels, food, drink and toiletries. You also have the option to bring your own charcoal and logs for the fire pit, or you can purchase these from the site when you arrive.
