Nestled just outside Crosthwaite and 15 minutes from Lake Windermere this adult only site is in a handy spot for exploring the South Lakes. Crosthwaite is a quaint village a ten minute walk away and home to the Punchbowl Inn which serves great food and drink- perfect after a day of hiking! There are five ensuite glamping pods, each with picturesque views over Cartmel Fell and Whitbarrow Scar, a great way to enjoy your morning cuppa sitting outside your pod looking at the Lake District countryside! The pods have an open plan interior and sleep up to two people in a king sized bed, making it the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. There is also no need to worry about packing bedding as the site provides this. If you fancy cooking, the pod has a fully equipped kitchenette so you don't need to bring any cooking equipment with you. There is a microwave grill and two-ring ceramic hob, a kettle and a toaster as well as crockery, pans and utensils. There is also a sink for washing up and a small fridge to store your food. The site provides complimentary crumpets on arrival as well as tea, coffee, sugar and milk to get you started. The pods also have a small dining table and chairs inside or outside seating if you prefer to dine al fresco. For facilities, each of the pods has a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a toilet, a hand basin and heated towel rail. You'll be provided with complimentary toiletries, towels and a hair dryer. The pods are heated to keep you cosy throughout the year and have electric so you can use appliances and charge any devices. There is a smart TV above the dining table so you can sit on the sofa and watch your favourite show to unwind from the day. The pods also have highspeed WiFi so you can stay connected. Outside your pod, you'll find a fire pit/BBQ along with outdoor seating to enjoy the countryside views and dark skies. Wood and charcoal for the fire pit is available to purchase onsite. Parking is close by with one car space allocated per pod. There is also electric vehicle charging onsite, pre-booking is required and charging will take between 6-12 hours. For those planning on cycling whilst on holiday the site has a safe bike storage area as well as a workshop available for guests to use for repairs. There is also a drying room that can be used to hang out all of your walking gear and walking boots to get them ready for the next day. One of the pods allows you to bring your dog along too, do note that there is a small fee for bringing a dog. Do note that the site recommends bringing a holdall bag rather than a suitcase due to the ease of storing in the pods.
