A hidden gem in the Western Lakes, this dog friendly campsite is the perfect base for your outdoor adventures with Wastwater, the deepest lake in England just a 20 minute drive away for paddleboarding, wild swimming and canoeing. Or head out of the campsite doorstep for low level walks or hiking up a Fell. The camping pod is set in the camping field and offers space for one car to be parked alongside it to help make unloading the car easier. It is an ideal choice for those who want the camping experience but would prefer a solid roof over their heads! The pod has a double and single wooden sleeping platform to sleep up to three guests with a wooden dining table and chairs too. There pod also has an interior light as well as blinds and curtains so you can have that much deserved lie in. You can also hire a gas heater from the site for the cooler months. Please bring a camping mat, air bed or something to sleep on plus any bedding, bed linen or sleeping bag. You will also need to bring cooking equipment with you including a stove, crockery, utensils and cutlery. A torch, blankets and cool box may also be a good addition to your packing list! Outside your pod is a picnic bench great for making the most of the dark skies. Make the most of nights in the outdoors by hiring a fire pit or BBQ with coal and firewood available to purchase onsite, or, indulge in a S'mores pack! The three glamping cabins each have a double bedroom as well as a triple bedroom with a double and single bed. All bedding is provided but please be sure to bring your own towels. The bespoke cabins feature a living area with views over the park, an electric wood burner and a TV, as well as a fully equipped kitchenette with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and a kettle. Each cabin also has an ensuite bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. Outside, you will find a picnic bench, fire pit and BBQ, perfect for some al fresco dining! There are camping pitches, static caravans and cottages also onsite. You will have access to all of the shared campsite facilities including family shower rooms, separate toilets, a washing up area, a washing machine and free WiFi. Little ones will love meeting the donkeys and enjoying a ball game with the other guests too. Dogs can also join you for your stay, with up to two pups welcome in each pod or cabin. Please note, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
