About the site
Family friendly, traditional campsite set along the East Sussex and Kent border with views over the heritage railway and the High Weald AONB. You'll be just ten minutes from from the seaside town of Rye, and if you fancy a bite to eat there is a pub just a 15 minute walk away. There are two camping pods to suit either couples or families seeking an outdoorsy getaway - one of the pods sleeps two and the other up to four. The pods all have a pull out double sofa bed and the four person pod has an additional two single beds. Apart from the bed layout the pods are the same, equipped with heating, electric sockets, a window with blinds, a dining area, a kettle, a small fridge, crockery and utensils. If you wish to prepare basic meals you should bring your own cooking equipment. Bedding, linen and towels are not provided in your camping pod, so please remember to bring your own. The pods are set on a raised decking area with a picnic bench for al fresco dining - sit back with a glass of your favourite tipple and listen to the chug of the steam train as it trails past. Your toilet and shower facilities are located in the shared facility block just a short walk away from your pod, it may be useful to bring a torch with you for night time trips. There are also a selection of grass and hardstanding pitches and five bell tents onsite too for a more traditional camping experience. Sorry dogs are not allowed in the camping pods but you may see some around site as the pitches and bell tents are dog friendly.
